1st Birthday Soiree! Pink and Green Ladybugs!

Oh, this first birthday party was so much fun! My client called me months before her daughter's first birthday and as soon as she called me, my brain went into overdrive for ideas.

I scheduled a consultation with her and we both decided that pink and green is a definite color palette! The bold colors are so festive, polka dots and stripes add a lot of texture and dimension, tissue poms, paper lanterns, paper fans and a gorgeous cake were all musts!

From custom made invitations to personalized party take home gifts, a bonce house and face painting; this lady bug soiree had all the little birthday guests giddy with glee!

Fall Decor...Part 2

***EEK*** I love to save money on decor! Especially when it's something like candles. I love using candles but I think that some are just way over priced!

How awesome is this idea?!? Buy a shorter candle, place it on an empty, clean, dry food can and add your vase filler! You will save money by buying a shorter candle and you will need less vase filler!

Perfect decor idea for all the upcoming holiday parties!

***Fall filler ideas:
~ Corn Kernels
~ Acrorns
~ Pine Cones
~ Wheat
~ Googly Eyes (perfect for Halloween)
~ Candycorn candies
place a can under candle before filler - you'll use less filler AND the candle will sit straight!!

Fall Decor...Part 1

It's hard to believe that the first day of Fall is on Sunday, September 22nd! When do y'all start decorating for Halloween and Thanksgiving? Do you decorate for both? Just one holiday? Neither?

I am going to do a little series of some fun DIY projects that I found on the web that can get you ready for all your Fall festivities!

I love these super easy Fall pumpkins!

What you will need:

Pumpkins (Real ones should be coming to your nearest pumpkin patch soon... Synthetic pumpkins are already available in your nearest craft store.
Washi Tape (Available in your nearest craft store)

Next, get creative and start a fun pattern with your washi tape (or decorative ribbon)
Some fun ideas include spray painting your pumpkin a different color.
